丙寅之岁孟春月，小园宴集忘形迹。我公江上老文豪，后至为余增色泽。
昔者此地多隐沦，竹林先有高人宅。后来宅废邱墓存，至今巷以刘伶额。
数千百载成漫园，乔梓才大皆宗伯。更百十载适园辟，太邱门第传清白。
祖孙父子工丹青，不徒文字搜绿赤。昔贤遗泽流孔长，子弟翩翩皆奋翮。
今兹座有周濂溪，宾中之宾礼前席。其馀社友多瑰才，荟萃胥藉东山力。
僻地能留名士踪，题名他日摩崖刻。当筵独让子建豪，放浪形骸不拘格。
高谈雄辩口如河，兴酣狂笑惊臧获。我公落落君子儒，意致平淡真骚客。
别后颁来纪念词，宝之奚啻连城百。理足气盛天籁鸣，回环雒诵爱不释。
忘形交久并忘年，欢洽平生视此夕。宾朋投赠夙珍藏，积之既久将盈尺。
鸿文惠我公尤多，将来寿世余之责。赖公提倡斯社成，不才甘作群贤役。

字丹卿，号颜丞，出身望族，十九岁中秀才，光绪廿八年中举，翌年登进士。选为吏部文选主事。目睹清廷腐败，以祖母病乞归。任江阴劝学所所长，致力于地方教育和实业事业。大力发展城乡教育。辛亥革命参加同盟会，任分部部长。民国十三年，发起成立陶社，刊印江上诗钞、先哲遗书二十馀种。为传承与发展文化作出了贡献。沦陷时期，日伪威胁利诱，主持维持会，均遭其严词拒绝。民国廿八年卒。
