胡寅（公元1098年～公元1156年），字明仲，学者称致堂先生，宋建州崇安（今福建武夷山市）人，后迁居衡阳。胡安国弟胡淳子，奉母命抚为己子，居长。秦桧当国，乞致仕，归衡州。因讥讪朝政，桧将其安置新州。桧死，复官。与弟胡宏一起倡导理学，继起文定，一代宗师，对湖湘学派的发展，起了巨大作用。著作还有《论语详说》、《读史管见》、《斐然集》等。
