（1034—1097）杭州临安人，字穆父。钱彦远子。以荫知尉氏县。神宗召对称旨，以不附王安石，命权盐铁判官。历提点京西、河北、京东刑狱。奉使吊高丽，凡馈饩非旧例所有者皆不纳。归拜中书舍人。哲宗元祐初，以龙图阁待制知开封府，为宗室、贵戚所憾，出知越州，徙瀛州。召拜工部、户部侍郎，进尚书。复知开封府，临事益精。哲宗莅政，补翰林学士，为章惇诽诋，罢知池州。藏书甚富，工行草书。
