陈是集，字虚斯（一作期），号筠似，别号双峰居士，晚曰忍辱道人。琼山（今属海南）人，一作文昌（今属海南）人。明熹宗天启元年（一六二一）举人，明思宗崇祯四年（一六三一）进士。九年（一六三六）授中书舍人，出使蜀粤诸王。既复命，被人嫁祸而入狱，会赦得免。明桂王永历元年（一六四七），郡邑多事，遁居乡里。清兵占琼，绝粒而亡。著有《南溟诗集》、《中秘稿》。
