垂百其龄，可灼平素。父年十八，独任家务。于江于淮，是乱是溯。
以隐于贾，以晦其著。以俭其出，以阜其聚。以开我人，以笃我祜。
余时昉冠，儒雅是慕。维诗维书，靡旦靡暮。其业未竟，乃仕乃骛。
亲实命之，弗荷恒惧。幸无失坠，以永终誉。岂曰能官，菽水攸助。
甫出五旬，遂引而去。二子丧一，今惟汝独。汝兄使存，吾岂汝督。
兹因诞辰，略汝之告。彼圣与贤，非四耳目。第性湛然，不汨于欲。
夫道非远，在志之笃。维志之笃，无坚不窟，无远不躅。
无高不升，无深不瞩。其弱可强，其暗可煜。铁焉可金，石焉可玉。
毋小成是梏，毋细娱是逐。毋师友是拂，毋祖宗是辱。
维人之心，匪恶伊善。由弗修养，道乃违叛。处彼下流，只将孰怨。
粤天地分，岁月无算。此身始有，胡忍涂炭。古人遗训，方册具见。
吾指其南，汝进毋惮。
