译文
清晨我驱赶着四匹马拉的高车，空旷绵延的五盘岭尽收眼底。
江流曲折回转，两岸石崖对峙；太阳尚未出山，群峰聚在一起。
曙光中烟霭笼罩着苍翠的山色，入云的树木幽暗阴沉充满寒气。
稀疏的松柏间露出孤零零的驿站，湍急的河道隐藏在繁密的花丛里。
雨后溪水潺潺栈道湿滑难行，农田里的荒草干枯没有绿意。
我一点也不觉得蜀道难行，因为此次远行是为了知己。

攒：积聚。
回滩：曲折流急的河道。
谿：同“溪”。
畬田：采用刀耕火种的方法耕种的田地。
早上五盘岭创作背景
大历元年（766年），杜鸿渐以宰相、剑南西川节度使兼副元帅之职入蜀平乱，并荐表岑参为其职方郎中兼侍御史，列其幕府。这首诗即写于大历元年二月，作者入蜀途中，是为记录在五盘岭的所见所感。

早上五盘岭鉴赏
诗人入蜀作杜鸿渐的幕僚，感知遇之恩，兼寄济国心愿，诗人心绪也较为明快开朗。全诗以开合变幻笔法写远景布近景，着力于染，归结于点，皴染调匀其色泽，勾勒妙画其形神，风烟美景，琳琅满目，尽人于画面，而又疏密有致，层层有序，诗人从容悠然的心绪也豁落落地毕现。诗句组对精严，语言华美而不繁缛，是岑参融六朝丰美华艳的艺术风格与唐之清新俊逸于一体的佳作。
诗末说“此行为知己，不觉行路难”，前文也只是比较有节制地描写蜀道之难。杜鸿渐也是一位作家，岑参的新诗肯定是要给他看的，这就不可能完全自由地抒写，也就不可能十分精彩了。
先前杜甫入蜀时也经过此地，有《五盘》诗云：“五盘虽云险，山色佳有馀。仰凌栈道细，俯映江木疏。地僻无网罟，水清反多鱼。好鸟不妄飞，野人半巢居。喜见淳朴俗，坦然心神舒。东郊尚格斗，巨猾何时除？故乡有弟妹，流落随丘墟。成都万事好，岂若归吾庐！”《杜诗详注》卷九：“栈道盘曲有五重”，仇注云：“栈在上，江在下，岭在中间，故云仰凌俯映”。杜诗及其注释可以与岑诗互参。

岑参（约715-770年），唐代边塞诗人，南阳人，太宗时功臣岑文本重孙，后徙居江陵。[1-2] 岑参早岁孤贫，从兄就读，遍览史籍。唐玄宗天宝三载（744年）进士，初为率府兵曹参军。后两次从军边塞，先在安西节度使高仙芝幕府掌书记；天宝末年，封常清为安西北庭节度使时，为其幕府判官。代宗时，曾官嘉州刺史（今四川乐山），世称“岑嘉州”。大历五年（770年）卒于成都。
