译文
清澈的溪水流过碧绿的山头，悬空一泻而下，澄清的水与蓝天在月色的映照下构成了一副空明澄澈的秋景画卷。
这秋色把人世间隔在三十里之外，空中是悠闲自在的白云，山上是悠闲自在的红叶。幽静的秋色是多么令人陶醉啊！
注释
清溪：清澈的溪水。碧山头：碧绿的山头。指山上树木葱茏、苍翠欲滴。
空水：指夜空和溪中的流水。澄（chéng）鲜：明净、清新的样子。一色秋：指夜空和在融融月色中流动的溪水像秋色一样明朗、澄清。
三十：非确数，只是写其远隔人世，写其幽深。红尘，佛教徒把人间称为红尘。此泛指人世间。
悠悠：悠闲自在的样子。

秋月创作背景
据《朱文公集》，这首诗为朱熹所作。《千家诗》将作者误题为程颢，当改正。根据题意，当知此诗作于一个秋高气爽的夜晚。

秋月鉴赏
前两句借水中的倒影写景。这两句诗实际上化用了谢灵运《登江中孤屿》中“云日相辉映，空水共澄鲜”两句诗的意境。因为清溪不可能流过碧山头，所流过的只能是碧山头在水中的倒影。清亮的溪水绕着碧绿的青山，缓缓流来，碧蓝的天空倒映于水中，是那样澄明、纯洁，两者融为一色，浑然一体。如果没有天地间弥漫着皎洁、明亮的月光，诗人就不能在秋夜中欣赏水之清，山之碧，水之澄鲜了。
后两句即景抒怀。诗人在静观秋光月色之中油然而生出一丝超尘脱俗、悠然自得之物外心境。“白云”、“红叶”，既是带有象征意义的幻像，又是诗人在秋月下所见的山林实景。从象征意义上说，这“白云”的任意漂游，“红叶”的飘逸自得，更是诗人悠闲清静心境的真实写照。
作品题为“秋月”，而笔墨却始终集中在写秋月笼罩下的山间小溪上，这就是构思的独到之处。碧绿的山头，碧蓝澄静的夜空，悠悠飘荡的云朵，飘逸洒脱的枫叶，这些都是围绕着缓缓流淌的小溪而写的，但是却无一不浸染着明亮、柔和的月光。全篇无一笔写月，却又处处见月，可谓大家手笔。

朱熹（1130年9月15日～1200年4月23日），行五十二，小名沋郎，小字季延，字元晦，一字仲晦，号晦庵，晚称晦翁，又称紫阳先生、考亭先生、沧州病叟、云谷老人、沧洲病叟、逆翁。谥文，又称朱文公。汉族，祖籍南宋江南东路徽州府婺源县（今江西省婺源），出生于南剑州尤溪（今属福建三明市）。南宋著名的理学家、思想家、哲学家、教育家、诗人、闽学派的代表人物，世称朱子，是孔子、孟子以来最杰出的弘扬儒学的大师。
