译文
独倚栏杆向远处望去，清江浦在哪里呢？大雨迷蒙，连天涯都一片苍茫。好风像扇子，好雨似挂着的珠帘。只见岸上红花开放，汀洲覆满绿草，浸水的印痕在不断上涨。
想象自己的梦魂进入了关山之路，那游冶的旧处在哪里呢？如今只剩梦影依稀，不堪回首。碧绿的平野延伸至天际，引起离人无尽的归思。只有在偶然的美梦中，才能回到长期思念的南方。
注释
清江浦：清江，又名沙河，在今江苏淮阴市北淮河与运河会合处。浦，水滨。
渺渺：形容雨大，迷漾一片。
汀草，水边的野草。
青林：喻梦魂。
乘鸾：指仙游。秦穆公女弄玉好乐，萧史善箫，穆公为筑凤楼，二人吹箫，凤凰来集，遂乘而仙去。
南州：南方。

虞美人·玉阑干外清江浦鉴赏
(阑：栏)
上片从近水楼台的玉阑干写起。清江烟雨，是阑干内人物所接触到的眼前景物；渺渺天涯，是一个空远无边的境界。“好风如扇”比喻新颖，未经人道，春夏之交，往往有这样的景色。陶渊明诗“春风扇微和”的扇字是动词，作虚用；这里的扇是名词，作实用；同样给人以风吹柔和的感觉。“雨如帘”的绘景更妙，它不仅曲状了疏疏细细的雨丝，像后来杨万里诗“千峰故隔一帘珠”那样地落想；而且因为人在玉阑干内，从内看外，雨丝就真像挂着的珠帘。“岸花汀草、涨痕添”，也正是从隔帘看到。“微雨止还作”（苏东坡句），是夏雨季节的特征。一番雨到，一番添上新的涨痕，所以说是“时见”。“涨痕添”从“岸花汀草”方面着眼，便显示了一种幽美的词境。这是精细的描绘，跟一般写壮阔的江涨气势采用粗线条勾勒的全不相同。
下片由景入情。见到天涯的雨，很自然地会联想到离别的人，一种怀人的孤寂感，不免要涌上心头，于是幻想就进入了枕上关山之路。只有模糊的梦影可以回忆乘鸾的旧踪。碧芜千里的天涯，自然引起“王孙游兮不归”的悠悠之思呢。可是温馨的会面，在梦里也不可能经常遇到。“惟有霎时凉梦、到南州”，这么一结，进一层透示这仅有的一霎欢娱应该珍视，给人的回味是悠然不尽的。

李廌（zhì）（1059-1109） 北宋文学家。字方叔，号德隅斋，又号齐南先生、太华逸民。汉族，华州（今陕西华县）人。6岁而孤，能发奋自学。少以文为苏轼所知，誉之为有“万人敌”之才。由此成为“苏门六君子”之一。中年应举落第，绝意仕进，定居长社（今河南长葛县），直至去世。文章喜论古今治乱，辨而中理。
