繁红嫩翠。艳阳景，妆点神州明媚。是处楼台，朱门院落，弦管新声腾沸。恣游人、无限驰骤，娇马车如水。竞寻芳选胜，归来向晚，起通衢近远，香尘细细。
译文：花盛开叶嫩绿，一派春天景色，将京城妆点得无限明媚。到处处危楼台榭、朱门院落，乐器吹奏着新颖美妙的音乐，非常热闹。道路上车马众多，来往不绝，任凭游人无限疾驰，竞相寻游美景名胜。归来的时候临近晚上，四通八达的道路上，如云的美女步履而带起轻微的芳香之尘。
注释：神州：指北宋京城汴京。是处：到处。朱门：古代王公贵族的住宅大门漆成红色，表示尊贵，后以“朱门”为贵族邸第的代称。弦管：弦乐器和管乐器，这里泛指乐器。新声：新颖美妙的音乐。腾沸：形容人声喧腾。恣：放纵。无限：没有约束，自由自在。驰骤：驰骋，疾奔。娇马车如水：即“车水马龙”，形容车马众多，往来不绝，像流水一样。向晚：临近晚上。通衢：四通八达的道路。
太平世。少年时，忍把韶光轻弃。况有红妆，楚腰越艳，一笑千金何啻。向尊前、舞袖飘雪，歌响行云止。愿长绳、且把飞乌系。任好从容痛饮，谁能惜醉。
译文：太平盛世，正当少年青春，不忍把美好的春光轻易抛弃，何况还有楚腰越艳一样美女相伴，她们一笑何止只值千金啊！面对酒宴上那如同雪花飘飞的舞袖，响遏行云的歌声，我愿用长绳系住太阳，好能从容痛饮，谁能怕醉啊！
注释：忍：怎忍。韶光：美好的春光。红妆：指美女。楚腰越艳：泛指美女。楚腰，即细腰，此处借指细腰女子。越艳，古代美女西施出自越国，故以“越艳”泛指美貌女子。何啻：何止。歌响行云止：即响遏行云，声音高入云霄，把浮动着的云彩也止住了，形容歌声嘹亮。飞乌：太阳。传说太阳中有三足乌，故称太阳为飞乌。

柳永，（约987年—约1053年）北宋著名词人，婉约派代表人物。汉族，崇安（今福建武夷山）人，原名三变，字景庄，后改名永，字耆卿，排行第七，又称柳七。宋仁宗朝进士，官至屯田员外郎，故世称柳屯田。他自称“奉旨填词柳三变”，以毕生精力作词，并以“白衣卿相”自诩。其词多描绘城市风光和歌妓生活，尤长于抒写羁旅行役之情，创作慢词独多。铺叙刻画，情景交融，语言通俗，音律谐婉，在当时流传极其广泛，人称“凡有井水饮处，皆能歌柳词”，婉约派最具代表性的人物之一，对宋词的发展有重大影响，代表作 《雨霖铃》《八声甘州》。
