大夫击东胡，胡尘不敢起。
译文：张将军往东击溃了胡军，胡军再也不敢在边境惹是生非。
胡人山下哭，胡马海边死。
译文：胡族人民只能痛苦地在山下哭泣，胡人军队战死在沙漠边缘。
部曲尽公侯，舆台亦朱紫。
译文：属从都因跟随张将军而功勋显著被封为公侯，连许多地位低下的人都因此而获高官显爵。
注释：部曲：部下，属从。舆台：指地位低的人。朱紫：朱衣紫绶，形容高官显爵。
当时有勋业，末路遭谗毁。
译文：当时功勋卓著，可惜年老时遭到谗言陷害。
注释：馋毁：事见《旧唐书·张守珪传》：“二十七年，仙童事露伏法，守珪以旧功减罪，左迁括州刺史。”
转旆燕赵间，剖符括苍里。
译文：以前屯兵于北国边境，此时被贬到括苍一带任职。
注释：剖符：意指任职。括苍：山名，在今浙江丽水东南。
弟兄莫相见，亲族远枌梓。
译文：弟兄之间没办法见面，亲戚族人也远在家乡。
注释：枌梓：指代乡里。
不改青云心，仍招布衣士。
译文：他那远大的志向丝毫不因被贬而改变，仍然招纳平民士子。
平生怀感激，本欲候知己。
译文：式颜你平时对张将军常怀感激之心，本来就想等候他这样的知己来赏识你。
去矣难重陈，飘然自兹始。
译文：过去的事难以多说了，既蒙知己相招，你青云展翅的生涯从此开始了。
游梁且未遇，适越今何以。
译文：以前你游历梁地没有遇上知己，现在到越地去终于可以获得重用了。
注释：以：用。
乡山西北愁，竹箭东南美。
译文：你这一去，虽然难免会为远离西北的故乡而愁，但更会为在东南获得重用而喜。
注释：乡山：家乡的山，截止故乡。
峥嵘缙云外，苍莽几千里。
译文：你要去的地方远在巍峨高耸的缙云山外，此去路途苍莽，有几千里之遥。
注释：缙云：山名，即仙都山，在今浙江缙云东。苍莽：郊野或天空青碧无涯貌。
旅雁悲啾啾，朝昏孰云已。
译文：旅途中大雁啾啾地悲鸣，从早到晚没有停歇之时。
登临多瘴疠，动息在风水。
译文：你登山时要小心山川湿热之气，行动和止息都要看好天气和地形。
注释：瘴疠：山川湿热郁蒸之气，人中之则病。
虽有贤主人，终为客行子。
译文：虽然有贤明的主人，但你终究是身在客中，处于异乡。
注释：贤主人：指张守珪。
我携一尊酒，满酌聊劝尔。
译文：我提着一壶酒，满满地斟上一杯，姑且劝一劝你。
劝尔惟一言，家声勿沦滓。
译文：我劝你只有一句话，千万不要玷辱了我们家的名誉。
注释：沦滓：沦落玷辱。

高适是我国唐代著名的边塞诗人，世称“高常侍”。 作品收录于《高常侍集》。高适与岑参并称“高岑”，其诗作笔力雄健，气势奔放，洋溢着盛唐时期所特有的奋发进取、蓬勃向上的时代精神。
